A DEVELOPMENT DREAM PLACED IN FOSSIL FUELS IN THE ERA OF CLIMATE CHANGE
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is home to approximately 60% of the forests of the Congo Basin, considered the second largest tropical forest after the Amazon, particularly due to the significant quantities of carbon stored in its peatlands. The country is also rich in essential mineral resources present in its subsoil, which are indispensable for stimulating economic and social development, and enabling current and future generations to see their living conditions substantially improved.
