A pan-African coalition united against fossil fuel expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Notre Terre Sans Pétrole (NTSP) is a campaign led by organisations and actors committed to ending oil and gas expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It calls for the abandonment of all new hydrocarbon exploitation projects (oil and gas) and for a halt to the expansion of existing projects, while defending energy alternatives that respect the environment, the rights of local communities and the general interest.
It brings together more than 210 signatory organisations around a shared ambition: to promote a different development trajectory for the DRC, grounded in environmental justice, civic participation, the protection of territories and sustainable choices in the service of people.
Oppose all new oil or gas projects in the DRC and the expansion of existing ones, while promoting clean energy.
Inform, raise awareness and alert on the impacts of oil and gas exploitation in the DRC and beyond.
Encourage the development of sustainable energy solutions adapted to the needs of local communities.
The climate crisis hits first those least responsible and deepens social, environmental and territorial inequalities. We defend a justice that recognises them and responds.
Communities must be able to decide the future of their lands, resources and territories.
We defend the men and women, and their lands, waters, forests and living places against threats linked to fossil fuel expansion.
We defend alternatives that protect territories and meet the needs of people.

Notre Terre Sans Pétrole brings together organisations that share a clear objective: to end the expansion of fossil fuels in the DRC and defend just alternatives.
The campaign unites organisations that endorse the founding declaration and engage, at different levels, in its mobilisations, advocacy actions, research work and public actions.
The current declaration calls in particular for the definitive abandonment of all new projects for the granting of hydrocarbon exploitation rights and the cancellation of already-signed gas contracts targeted by the campaign.

More than 210 signatory organisations in the DRC and around the world actively participate in the campaign, through mobilisation, advocacy, research and public actions.
The campaign combines non-violent mobilisations, awareness-raising, public communication and advocacy to challenge authorities, inform public opinion and strengthen resistance to fossil fuel expansion.
